Recently, I had Innovative Chem-Dry of Hopewell, Illinois give me a price to clean my carpet. The men asked if I had pets, and I told them I had 2 dogs.

When they arrived, they brought in their UV light to show me areas where the dogs had urinated, and proceeded to explain how wonderful their PURT was and gave me a quote of 600 dollars for 2 rooms that aren't that large. After thinking it over I called to cancel my appointment, but they dropped the price to 485, so I went ahead and had them come. They used a round carpet head, very similar to a small buffer in size and pre-treated areas with their solution. They were here no longer than an hour, I paid them and they left.

I got out my UV light after the carpet dried and low and behold, the urine stains are all still there. I have a product I bought at Petsmart called, Simple Solution Stain and Odor Remover. I sprayed it on the stains, scrubbed it with a brush and voila! The stains came right up.

What I bought at the store worked better than Chem-Dry. I would NEVER use their service again for anything. They use scare tactics to convince you to use their overpriced service.

You're far better to search out a locally owned hot water extraction service than to use these guys. Innovative Chem-Dry isn't!!!

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Chemdry Cons: Cleaning service.

I used to work for Chem-Dry in the stuff that you get from PetSmart usually makes it worse it's not the stain that you have to worry about it is the salt that is Left Behind from the urine that gas is off a smell the part destroys the salt that makes the smell if it's still stuck in there it's because he missed something. This stain is from the urine bleaching the carpet from whatever was in your dog's diet.
